Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Great for people who like the lights on afterwards and anyone looking to switch off and smile. The scares come from the creaks and shadows as much as the jumps.
The mood
Scary.
The pace
Builds dread steadily, at 1 hr 15 min. Done before bedtime.
What might put you off
  • Rated R: meant for adults.
  • Skip it if you scare easily or watch alone at night.

A trio of youngsters are tasked with reopening a long-closed, old-time theater at which, many years before, a shocking series of grisly murders took place.
