Weeknight Watchearly rating

Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With almost no lasting buzz and middling reviews (59% on Rotten Tomatoes), it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for anyone who likes to solve it before the characters do and people who get choked up at a comeback. It plays fair with the clues, so you can play along. Liked Beverly Hills Cop or Pulp Fiction? This is a good next one. The sport matters, but the people playing it matter more.
The mood: Darkly funny.
The pace: Lean, with little time wasted, at 1 hr 26 min. Done before bedtime.
What might put you off: It's in Norwegian, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Not for anyone who finds explosions tiring.

Terrified and bloody, Oscar Svendsen awakes clinched to a shotgun in a strippers joint. Around him 8 dead men, and police aiming at him. To Oscar it's clear that he is innocent. It all started when four chaps won 1,7 million on the pools.
