Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
If you count yourself among anyone who's already planned their apocalypse hideout and fans of a good haunting, this one's for you. The undead are the backdrop; how people treat each other is the real story. Liked The Evil Dead or 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple? This is a good next one. The scares come from the creaks and shadows as much as the jumps.
The mood
Scary and gory.
The pace
Builds dread steadily, at 1 hr 10 min. Done before bedtime.
What might put you off
Not one for anyone who hates jump scares.

Four strangers are summoned to the basement of an abandoned house by a mysterious entity known only as The Sentinel. One after another, they are forced to witness heinous deeds they have yet to commit – and which will damn them for all eternity.
