Monday Morning Maybeearly ratingWhy it’s a Monday Morning Maybe
With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.
Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below. Is it for you?
- Who'll love it
- If you count yourself among people who'll be humming afterwards and fans of a well-timed joke, this one's for you. The music is woven into the story, not just laid on top. Same wavelength as KPop Demon Hunters.
- The mood
- Funny with heart.
- The pace
- Quiet, then quietly devastating, at 1 hr 53 min.
- What might put you off
- It's in Korean, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
- Not the pick if you want something heavy or meaningful.
It's hard being a Korean popstar! For every Gangnam Style, there are a hundred flameouts. K-Pop sensation Jay Park stars in this musical romp about a sassy music executive on her quest to resurrect a disgraced boy band against all odds.
