Weeknight Watch

Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With little lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Great for anyone who loves a world with magic in it and anyone who loves watching the truth get chased down. Its magic has rules, and the story plays by them. Fans of Point Blank or Frankenstein should feel right at home. It's about the digging, and what it costs to get the story.
The mood: Scary.
The pace: Builds dread steadily, at 1 hr 39 min.
What might put you off: It's in Japanese, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Skip it if you scare easily or watch alone at night.

Taking place thirty years before the events of Ringu, Ringu 0 provides the shocking background story of how the girl on the video became a deadly, vengeful spirit.
