Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With almost no lasting buzz and soft box office, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Great for anyone who's survived a family wedding and anyone who loves a strong drama. Relationships are put under a microscope, for better or worse.
The mood: Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace: Takes its time with its characters, at 1 hr 34 min.
What might put you off: It's in French, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Not the one if you want explosions or easy laughs.

Thanks to his wife Madeleine, a social worker who saved him from the street when he was 17-years-old, Pierre Dalpé has become a prosperous entrepreneur, running a garbage-collection business in the Montreal area. His quiet happiness with his wife and their children changes when he crosses paths with Eve, a teenage drug addict/prostitute who belongs to a street gang.
