Why it’s a Monday Morning Maybe

With a box office flop and almost no lasting buzz, this one could be a tough watch. Keep your phone handy.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
A natural pick for anyone who likes to solve it before the characters do and anyone who likes yelling at characters not to go upstairs. The investigation drives everything, one lead at a time. A good follow-up to You're Next or Halloween. Classic slasher set-up: count who's left standing.
The mood
Scary.
The pace
Builds dread steadily, at 1 hr 39 min.
What might put you off
  • It's in Italian, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
  • Made in 1974: an older pace and style.
  • Skip it if you want something to relax to.

A rich man gathers together friends and relatives at the abandoned theatre he owns, but the party isn't fun for long since apparently one of them is a murderer.
