Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

It's still drawing plenty of interest, but a weak 5.3 out of 10 from audiences and a small audience held it back. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Made for crime fans, sci-fi fans and action fans. If you loved X-Men '97, start here. Critics rate it higher than audiences do, so it rewards patience more than it chases thrills.
The mood
Gritty.
The pace
One season: easy to finish in a weekend or two.
What might put you off
  • Rated TV-14. Probably too much for younger kids.
  • Audiences were cooler on it than critics.

After the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, technology is pitted against magic when Riri Williams, a young, genius inventor determined to make her mark on the world, returns to her hometown of Chicago. Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins aka "The Hood."
