Sunday Safe Betearly rating

Why it’s a Sunday Safe Bet

Solid across the board without standing out anywhere. A safe bet when you want something reliable.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for crime-drama fans. If you loved Sons of Anarchy or The Penguin, start here.
The mood: Dark and gritty.
The pace: 10 seasons and 48 episodes: a long-haul commitment, hour-long episodes, about 96 hours in all.
What might put you off: Rated TV-14. Probably too much for younger kids.
A big time investment at 10 seasons.
It's in Italian, so expect subtitles (or a dub).

An epic crime saga of power, money, violence and corruption. The mafia controls everything through local and international networks like an octopus, and anyone who tries to bring them down pays the ultimate price.
