Weeknight Watchearly rating

Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With almost no lasting buzz and a small audience, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for crime fans. If you loved MINDHUNTER or American Crime Story, start here.
The mood: Gritty.
The pace: One season: easy to finish in a weekend or two, hour-long episodes, about 6 hours in all.
What might put you off: It's in another language, so expect subtitles (or a dub).

The Markovič Method: Hojer is a six-part series about the capture and conviction of one of the most horrific serial killers in the era of normalization in Czechoslovakia, Ladislav Hojer, by the legendary detective Jiří Markovič.
