Weeknight Watchearly rating

Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

It's still drawing plenty of interest, but middling reviews (39% on Rotten Tomatoes) and a short run with a modest audience held it back. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for anyone who loves a strong character drama. If you loved Suits or The Lincoln Lawyer, start here.
The mood: Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace: 1 season: a few weeks of evenings.
What might put you off: Rated TV-14. Probably too much for younger kids.
It was cancelled, so the story may not get a proper ending.

Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. But his firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive, he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career.
