Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With almost no lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for sci-fi fans and action fans. If you loved Battlestar Galactica or Percy Jackson and the Olympians, start here.
The mood: Exciting.
The pace: One season: easy to finish in a weekend or two, hour-long episodes, about 3 hours in all.
What might put you off: Rated TV-14. Probably too much for younger kids.

Following an unparalleled series of meteor fireballs plummeting toward Earth, a renowned scientist, his assistant, and an on-target conspiracy theorist race against time to expose a government cover-up, reveal the truth, and prevent a massive meteor from destroying the planet.
