Sunday Safe Bet

Why it’s a Sunday Safe Bet

It earned strong reviews (74 on Metacritic). A safe bet when you want something reliable.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for anyone who wants a laugh. If you loved Freaks and Geeks or XO, Kitty, start here. Critics rate it higher than audiences do, so it rewards patience more than it chases thrills.
The mood: Funny with heart.
The pace: 5 seasons: a few months of evenings.
What might put you off: Rated TV-14. Probably too much for younger kids.
It was cancelled, so the story may not get a proper ending.
Audiences were cooler on it than critics.

An irreverent look at the conflict, chaos and humor that defines teenage life through the eyes of 15-year-old Jenna Hamilton whose life begins to change when a simple accident becomes an epic misunderstanding and is blown way out of proportion. Narration in the first-person voice of Jenna's blog posts captures the humor within the struggles and experiences everyone can relate to from their formative years.
