Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With a short run with a modest audience and little lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for anyone who wants a laugh, sci-fi fans and animation lovers. If you loved Moonlighting, start here.
The mood: Funny with heart.
The pace: 3 seasons: a few weeks of evenings, short, snackable episodes, about 15 hours in all.
What might put you off: Rated TV-14. Probably too much for younger kids.
It's in Japanese, so expect subtitles (or a dub).

Keima is a dating sim champion. Cute girls are rendered powerless by his irresistible game playing techniques. Too bad things aren't that way in the real world. That is, until his tempting game playing causes a real live—and very bubbly-cute—demon hunter named Elsie to materialize! Now Elsie wants Keima to help her free hot girls from sneaky demons who secretly possess them.
