- Made for crime-drama fans and sci-fi fans. If you loved True Blood or Angel, start here. Critics rate it higher than audiences do, so it rewards patience more than it chases thrills.
- The mood
- Dark and gritty.
- The pace
- 3 seasons: a few weeks of evenings, episodes of about 43 minutes, about 22 hours in all.
- What might put you off
- Rated TV-14: scary moments. Probably too much for younger kids.
- It was cancelled, so the story may not get a proper ending.
- Audiences were cooler on it than critics.
The horror and crime thriller genres collide in this new original series from Robert Rodriguez, based on his cult grindhouse classic about bank-robbing brothers on the run, a lawman bent on bringing them to justice, the devout family caught in the cross-fire, and an ancient evil eager to feast on them all.
