People are still talking about it and it earned strong reviews (94% on Rotten Tomatoes). A strong pick for the weekend.

Our take: A rich family loses everything and moves to a tiny town. Starts snarky and turns into one of TV's warmest comedies.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for anyone who wants a laugh. Critics rate it higher than audiences do, so it rewards patience more than it chases thrills.
The mood: Light and funny.
The pace: 6 seasons, but most episodes stand on their own, so you can dip in anywhere (about 22 minutes each).
What might put you off: Nothing much: an easy pick for most people.

Formerly filthy rich video store magnate Johnny Rose, his soap star wife Moira, and their two kids, über-hipster son David and socialite daughter Alexis, suddenly find themselves broke and forced to live in Schitt's Creek, a small depressing town they once bought as a joke.
