Sunday Safe Bet

Why it’s a Sunday Safe Bet

Critics loved it (100% on Rotten Tomatoes), though it had a short run with a modest audience. A safe bet when you want something reliable.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for sci-fi fans. If you loved Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., start here. Critics rate it higher than audiences do, so it rewards patience more than it chases thrills.
The mood: Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace: 2 seasons: a few weeks of evenings, hour-long episodes, about 19 hours in all.
What might put you off: Rated TV-MA: meant for adults.
It was cancelled, so the story may not get a proper ending.
Audiences were cooler on it than critics.
