Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below. Is it for you?
- Who'll love it
- Made for crime-drama fans. If you loved Firefly, start here. Critics rate it higher than audiences do, so it rewards patience more than it chases thrills.
- The mood
- Dark and gritty.
- The pace
- 3 seasons: a few weeks of evenings.
- What might put you off
- Rated TV-MA: meant for adults.
- It was cancelled, so the story may not get a proper ending.
- Audiences were cooler on it than critics.
A con man on the run from a vicious gangster takes cover from his past by assuming the identity of his prison cellmate, Pete, “reuniting” with Pete’s estranged family, a colorful, dysfunctional group that threatens to drag him into a world just as dangerous as the one he’s trying to escape - and, just maybe, give him a taste of the loving family he’s never had.
