Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for crime-drama fans and anyone who likes to be kept guessing. If you loved Dexter or How to Get Away with Murder, start here. Critics rate it higher than audiences do, so it rewards patience more than it chases thrills.
The mood: Tense and unsettling, dark and gritty.
The pace: One season: easy to finish in a weekend or two, hour-long episodes, about 8 hours in all.
What might put you off: Rated TV-MA: expect violence.

After a night of partying with a female stranger, a man wakes up to find her stabbed to death and is charged with her murder.
