Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With almost no lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for crime-drama fans.
The mood: Dark and gritty.
The pace: 5 seasons: a few months of evenings, episodes of about 44 minutes, about 23 hours in all.
What might put you off: Rated TV-MA: expect drug use.
It's in Portuguese, so expect subtitles (or a dub).

Told through three different characters' perspectives, the story of Sintonia explores the interconnection of the music, drug traffic, and religion in São Paulo. In the quest to be somebody, many paths will converge.
