Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for sci-fi fans. If you loved The Boys or Smallville, start here. Critics rate it higher than audiences do, so it rewards patience more than it chases thrills.
The mood: Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace: 4 seasons: a few months of evenings, episodes of about 49 minutes, about 38 hours in all.
What might put you off: Rated TV-MA: meant for adults.

The Doom Patrol’s members each suffered horrible accidents that gave them superhuman abilities — but also left them scarred and disfigured. Traumatized and downtrodden, the team found purpose through The Chief, who brought them together to investigate the weirdest phenomena in existence — and to protect Earth from what they find.
