Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With a small audience and little lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for crime-drama fans and anyone who likes to be kept guessing. If you loved Law & Order: Special Victims Unit or Damages, start here.
The mood: Tense, dark and gritty.
The pace: One season: easy to finish in a weekend or two, episodes of about 43 minutes, about 7 hours in all.
What might put you off: Rated TV-14. Probably too much for younger kids.
It was cancelled, so the story may not get a proper ending.

High-profile district attorney Maya Travis fled L.A. after devastating defeat when prosecuting an A-list actor for double murder. Eight years later, the same celebrity is under suspicion for another murder, and Maya is lured back to the DA’s office for another chance at justice.
