Sunday Safe Betearly rating

Why it’s a Sunday Safe Bet

Critics loved it (88% on Rotten Tomatoes), though it had a short run with a modest audience and little lasting buzz. A safe bet when you want something reliable.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for anyone who wants a laugh. Critics rate it higher than audiences do, so it rewards patience more than it chases thrills.
The mood: Light and funny.
The pace: 3 seasons: a few weeks of evenings, short, snackable episodes, about 11 hours in all.
What might put you off: It was cancelled, so the story may not get a proper ending.
Audiences were cooler on it than critics.

Hilarious high school teacher Gabriel Iglesias tries to make a difference in the lives of some smart but underperforming students at his alma mater.
