Weeknight Watch

Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With a lukewarm 6.6 out of 10 from audiences and a short run with a modest audience, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for anyone who wants a laugh and sci-fi fans. If you loved Star Trek: Lower Decks or The Good Place, start here. Critics rate it higher than audiences do, so it rewards patience more than it chases thrills.
The mood: Provocative satire that goes after everyone.
The pace: 2 seasons: a few weeks of evenings.
What might put you off: Rated TV-MA: meant for adults.
It was cancelled, so the story may not get a proper ending.

40 years in the future, space captain Ryan Clark and the crew of the luxury space cruise ship Avenue 5 navigate disgruntled passengers and unexpected events after experiencing technical difficulties onboard.
