Made for crime-drama fans, anyone who likes to be kept guessing and sci-fi fans. If you loved Dexter or Dark Winds, start here. Critics rate it higher than audiences do, so it rewards patience more than it chases thrills.
The mood

The pace
One season: easy to finish in a weekend or two, episodes of about 40 minutes, about 5 hours in all.
What might put you off
  • It's in Spanish, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
