Sunday Safe Bet

Why it’s a Sunday Safe Bet

It earned strong reviews (91% on Rotten Tomatoes), though it had a short run with a modest audience and little lasting buzz. A safe bet when you want something reliable.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for anyone who wants a laugh and animation lovers. If you loved Big Mouth or South Park, start here. Critics rate it higher than audiences do, so it rewards patience more than it chases thrills.
The mood: Light and funny.
The pace: 3 seasons: a few weeks of evenings, short, snackable episodes, about 12 hours in all.
What might put you off: Rated TV-14. Probably too much for younger kids.
It was cancelled, so the story may not get a proper ending.
Audiences were cooler on it than critics.

Like most 15-year-olds, Duncan can see adulthood on the horizon: money, freedom, cars and girls; but the reality is more like: always being broke, driving with one's mom sitting shotgun and babysitting one's sister. He's not exceptional, but he has a wild imagination in which he's never anything less than amazing.
