Sunday Safe Bet

Why it’s a Sunday Safe Bet

Critics loved it (88% on Rotten Tomatoes), though it had a short run with a modest audience. A safe bet when you want something reliable.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for sci-fi fans. If you loved The 100 or Scavengers Reign, start here. Critics rate it higher than audiences do, so it rewards patience more than it chases thrills.
The mood: Easygoing.
The pace: 2 seasons: a few weeks of evenings, episodes of about 37 minutes, about 7 hours in all.
What might put you off: Rated TV-MA: meant for adults.
It was cancelled, so the story may not get a proper ending.
It's in French, so expect subtitles (or a dub).
Audiences were cooler on it than critics.

When the sun suddenly starts killing everything in its path, passengers on an overnight flight from Brussels attempt to survive by any means necessary.
