Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With a short run with a modest audience and little lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Made for anyone who loves a strong character drama. If you loved Yellowjackets or Ted Lasso, start here.
The mood
Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace
5 seasons: a few months of evenings, hour-long episodes, about 32 hours in all.
What might put you off
Nothing much for most grown-ups.

The on-the-field trials and tribulations and the off-the-field lives, loves and infidelities of 'The Castlefield Blues', an under funded, badly managed ladies football team from South Yorkshire in the north of England whose loyalty to the team, the game and each other far exceeds their chances of ever winning the championship.
