Sunday Safe Betearly rating

Why it’s a Sunday Safe Bet

It earned strong reviews (84% on Rotten Tomatoes), though it had a small audience and a quick end and little lasting buzz. A safe bet when you want something reliable.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for anyone who wants a laugh.
The mood: Light and funny.
The pace: 2 seasons: a few weeks of evenings, short, snackable episodes, about 12 hours in all.
What might put you off: Rated TV-14. Probably too much for younger kids.
It was cancelled, so the story may not get a proper ending.

Faced with finding a kidney donor, newly divorced dad Drew is at the end of his rope when he runs into Gina, a rough-around-the edges woman from his past who volunteers her own. Together they form an unlikely bond and begin a journey that will change both of their lives.
