Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With a small audience and a quick end and little lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for anyone who wants a laugh and families.
The mood: Light and funny, feel-good.
The pace: 2 seasons: a few weeks of evenings, short, snackable episodes, about 7 hours in all.
What might put you off: Rated TV-PG. Worth a look first if you have very young kids.
It was cancelled, so the story may not get a proper ending.

The recently widowed host of Atlanta's No. 2 morning show struggles to balance his job and his young daughters despite all the “help” he gets from his grifter father-in-law and his brother/assistant/manager/house guest.
