Is it for you?

Who'll love it
Made for anyone who loves a strong character drama. If you loved Lanterns or Sugar, start here. Critics rate it higher than audiences do, so it rewards patience more than it chases thrills.
The mood
Thoughtful and character-driven.
The pace
1 season: a few weeks of evenings, episodes of about 43 minutes, about 13 hours in all.
What might put you off
  • Rated TV-14. Probably too much for younger kids.
  • It was cancelled, so the story may not get a proper ending.
  • Audiences were cooler on it than critics.

Dex Parios is a strong, assertive, and unapologetically sharp-witted Army veteran working as a P.I. in Portland, Oregon. With a complicated personal history and only herself to rely on, she solves other people’s messes with a blind eye toward her own.
