Why it’s a Weeknight Watch

With a short run with a modest audience and little lasting buzz, it's a mixed bag. Fine if it's on; don't plan your night around it.

Based on critics, audiences, awards, box office and buzz. Details below.

Is it for you?

Who'll love it: Made for sci-fi fans and action fans. If you loved Legacies, start here.
The mood: Exciting.
The pace: 3 seasons: a few weeks of evenings, episodes of about 45 minutes, about 23 hours in all.
What might put you off: Rated TV-14: scary moments. Probably too much for younger kids.

Set in an alternate America where witches ended their persecution over 300 years ago by cutting a deal with the government to fight for their country, the series follows three young women from basic training in combat magic into early deployment.
